BSF Latest projects
As part of our own going planning for a future Orphanage we are constantly scouting and assessing real estate in the area we are based. To date, none of the projects we have explored relevant to making a purchase has transpired. It will only do so, when it is God inspired and Godly timed. Until such time we have to patient and wait upon the Lord.
God is never late, he is always right on time. Let us use wisdom and patience to wait upon the Lord!
Almost every day we see or find out about children who are living in the most apalling conditions. These children were brought a nourished meal from BSF. They live under a bridge in Naga with their mother. All they have hangs from hangers along the underside of the concrete structure as the Naga river bank hangs close. Yet these children appeared happy and content, although we all wish to change their circumstances. How wonderful our God is to allow us to serve such wonderful deserving souls and learn that true happiness is not in what we have, but in the relationship we have with each other. God bless these children as we will continue to check on their welfare.
Pumba Farms Update
Pumba Farms is a Piggery business owned and managed by my wife in Naga City, Philippines. Pork is a primary staple for Filipino families and can provide good future financial support for the Foundation. Not to mention food for those who are hungry.
We recently had two births yielding us around 25 piglets for which to raise and sale to continue to fund Pumba Farms and BSF. I jokingly remind my wife she has all kinds of kids to take care of, the 2 legged and 4 legged kind. We appreciate the bountiful harvest God has provided and look forward to growing the Piggery so we can fund more and more needed projects in the area.
BSF Opens Store in Naga City
The Be Somebody Foundation has opened a store to assist the ministry with proceeds in order to support the mission of the foundation. Profits and extra cash flow from the store sales will be used to supplement any donations or other needs as they arise with respect to carrying out the programs in the region. The Store will sell basic necessities and be convenient for neighbors who up to this point had no local store in which to buy rice, liquids, and other every day necessities. The store will be operating as a test basis and be working in concert with Pumba Farms as a provider for the organization.
BSF Xmas Banquet includes Bride & Groom
The Be Somebody Foundation conducted a Christmas feeding banquet in Mambulo on December 20th bringing an early Xmas celebration to kids in the area. If that was not special enough, we were fortunate to have a new bride and groom who had been married hours earlier want to take part in our celebration with the children of the area. At Be Somebody Foundation, we welcome all into our presence and we feel blessed to have this lovely couple participate. We have featured some photos of this couple and you can find the other photos of the banquet under the "More" pop down menu above.
