BSF Store (Eleven Months of Success!)
Pumba Farms Operations were put on hold while the BSF Store was built and opened. The store has been opened for eleven months now and is supplying income needed to help fund the operations in the Philippines. God continues to bless it!
Although there is a long way to go, sales at the store have continued to climb as we have expanded the offerings to the local barangay neighbors. The store is well received and although the net proceeds are small, we believe the store will continue to grow and assist us with having funds available to run some of our programs.
My wife Claire, operates the store, and oversees its constant inflow and outflow of goods and services. The store has taken the edge off of a lack of emergency funds when they are needed by supplying a steady cash flow for emergency purposes. Chaplain Robert continues to fund the operations primarily from his work in the U.S.A. and sends 60% of his gross salary back to the Philippines for support.
Miracle after Typhoon Nina
Day after Christmas, December 26th, 2016:
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
Psalm 9:1 | NIV
My wife and I talked the day of Christmas as Typhoon Nina was striking Naga City and the Bicol Region with SuperTyphoon winds and Signal 4 warnings. I had been praying for a week before the Storm hit for the people's safety and God's protection of our Foundation Store. We had put alot of funds into the store and we had no way to replace it if it were destroyed. Funds were depleted and we had credit too that was owed. However, I prayed it would be God's will that would be done and I would be obedient regardless of the outcome. We would simply deal with it and move forward. My wife during the phone call late Christmas day said she thought the store was destroyed due to the ferocity of the storm and the damage she was witnessing. We did not know for sure, we could only find out Monday morning after the storm had passed. I received a text early that morning that the buildings around the Foundation were badly damaged or destroyed, but our Foundation store, to the Glory of God, was untouched. You can see photos (Blue Building left). God blessed us so much so our Foundation work would not be set back. His protection was with us, and with that I proclaim His wonderful deeds!!!
