I stay connected with an association of believers who love the Gospel of Christ. One of my fellowship support networks, the National Association of Christian Ministers, is a welcome respite on those challenging days or weeks when lifes circumstances may test me to the max. They hold me accountable and enable me to seek and find ministerial support when I need it most. As does, the Association of Professional Chaplains and the Jimmy Swaggert Ministries. I also believe in the value of having a Holy Spirit filled church. And of course, my Bible and prayer disciplines are always my direct line to God.
Also, my wife and I welcome Rev. Jay Ramada and his wife Evangeline to a partnership in ministry. Rev. Jay and his wife work in a more dangerous part of the Philippines feeding the poor children and others in both substance and in the Word of God. Their work is highlighted in the News and Events portion of this website. They are truly a blessing to God in every way and to those they serve.
My better half are my wife and daughter. My wife Claire makes things happen with BSF (she is reflected in many of the photos on our website serving those in need). She finds many of the souls we outreach too. Her degree in hotel and restaurant mgmt. was service oriented, so it was the perfect preparation for where God has called us. I could not do this ministry without her and the many volunteers who step up to our need. And she loves the Lord! My young daughter is also supportative to the extent she can be.
Church Formation: Plans are underway to establish a Church and Ministry known as the "Pilipinas Message of the Cross Church" The church is being planned and ministered by Pastor/Chaplain Robert West in Naga City in the Bicol Region of the Philippines.
About us (Chaplain Robert & Rev. Jay)
My wife Claire and I love the Lord. Our house is one which will serve the Lord until we are called home. As such, serving is being asked to fulfill Christ like qualities on any soul who we may see in need. This includes witnessing the Holy Word of God with Scriptural Truth. Throughout the Bible, we have much scripture attesting to the need to serve the needy and poor orphans and widows of the world. However, we cannot effectively serve unless we are sanctified daily through what Christ has done for us on the Cross. That renewal, so to speak, and daily learning of just how much the Cross has afforded us, enables us to serve effectively as Christians.
God has ordained me and teaches me daily just how to serve! I spent most of my career as a business executive traveling the globe. Even though I was a Christian, I often felt empty and without social purpose. Isn't that what happens, evil in the world confuses us or lies to us in a way that we may think we are doing good, or quite successful, but in actuality we are simply being delayed in making a real impact or having a fulfilled purpose in life.
